2009 L.A. County Fair

Yesterday was the last day of the Los Angeles County Fair. We loved going when the weather was cool enough to actually enjoy it!!

I did not go crazy on the fair food.... instead I bought fun stuff. Got a couple of very pretty rings, some flavored dipping oil, and some Christmas gifts.

Chris saw the concert (Shinedown, Puddle of Mudd, and Saliva... crazy names, huh!?? LOL!!). He and his (girl)friend enjoyed the concert, and we closed down the park.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend, too!!

  2. Great picture! I love fairs. Only I usually do more eating than anything. They used to have alot of souvenier things and gift items at the fair but I didn't see many at ours this year. Food boths and games and rides and the politians booths were about it.

  5. Shinedown and Puddle of Mud are pretty big time acts ... you were lucky!

Fair food IS for gorging on!! It only happens once a year, and it is supposed to help you build up for the long empty time between now and Thanksgiving!!

  12. Sounds fun! We went to our Fair Sept 24th. I didn't buy one single thing this time. But I did have a couple scones and Young Life in this area has a wonderful food booth where they sell these luscious BBQ beef sandwiches~I had one of those for lunch. One of Bob's daughter's gave us the tickets and we rode the bus for 75 cents each so it was a pretty cheap outing. Linda up here in Washington

  14. Lord help me, I'm not even thinking about Halloween parties and you're already buying Christmas gifts? I'm a last minute shopper and I hate myself for procrastinating. Also, I hate myself for putting things off.....

  15. I just got done thumbing through the See's Candy Christmas catalog... I can't eat it but I give it as gifts. Wholly smokes! I'm shopping for Christmas ALREADY... ugh! I don't mind it other than it's going to be so doggone cold. Enjoy the So-Cal weather... You guys can go to the beach for Christmas while I shovel snow. lol...
